Comparison of LPV and nonlinear system theory: A realization problem

چکیده
The paper explores the utilization of the nonlinear realization theory to address the problem of transforming linear parameter-varying input-output (LPV-IO) equations into a state-space form with static dependence on the so-called scheduling parameter. The necessary and sufficient solvability conditions are given, and three additional subclasses of LPV-IO equations are suggested that are guaranteed to have a realization of the considered type.

LPV Control for speed of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with PWM Inverter
This paper deals with the modeling, analysis, design and simulation of a robust control method for a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) supplied with a PWM inverter based on a LPV (Linear Parameter Variation) standard controller. Under the influence of uncertainties and external disturbances, by a variation of ±150% of motor parameters from the nominal values, the robust performance c...
متن کاملIdentification of Linear, Parameter Varying, and Nonlinear Systems: Theory, Computation, and Applications
In this workshop, the powerful subspace identification method (SIM) is described for the well understood case of linear time-invariant (LTI) systems. Recent extensions are show for linear parameter-varying (LPV), Quasi-LPV, and general nonlinear (NL) systems such as polynomial systems. The presentation, following the extended tutorial paper (Larimore, ACC2013), includes detailed conceptual deve...
متن کاملAnalysis of Linear Parameter Varying System Models Based on Reachable Sets
This paper presents the analysis method of quasi-LPV models, comparing the ellipsoid set which contains the reachable set of a nonlinear system to de ne which quasi-LPV model is less conservative to represent the nonlinear dynamics. Three quasi-LPV models are constructed from a nonlinear model using three di erent methods, to facilitate synthesis of an LPV controller for the nonlinear system. T...
متن کاملNonlinear H2 control of Sawyer motors
In this paper we propose a nonlinear H2 control to improve transient response in the position control and to reduce energy consumption for the position tracking of Sawyer motors. The proposed method consists of a nonlinear torque modulation with a commutation scheme and gain scheduling LPV controller. The position control problem for the Sawyer motor is reformulated into the LPV system optimal ...
متن کاملDesigning Stochastic Cell Formation Problem Using Queuing Theory
This paper presents a new nonlinear mathematical model to solve a cell formation problem which assumes that processing time and inter-arrival time of parts are random variables. In this research, cells are defined as a queue system which will be optimized via queuing theory. In this queue system, each machine is assumed as a server and each part as a customer. The grouping of machines and parts...
